From CGee: A great win for Souths, 34-18 over Canberra. Confidence building, good to see complete sets and some lateral ball movement combined with support play for scores. Only downside is two worrisome injuries to Sam Burgess and John Sutton.

Souths Win: From Nicole: Worth to see this game! The Rabbitohs were playing on Parramatta Eels field tonight and they haven't been winning there since 1995! But tonight after being led at the 9th mn they scored 6 tries (only 2 to Parramatta), missing 3 conversions though but they made the difference winning 32-12. Great second half, they dominated it thanks to a awesome attacks and great defence. South Sydney Rabbitohs won 32-12 vs Parramatta Eels. They're back after 2 losses. Thanks Bunnies! --- From CGee: It was a good, solid win with yeoman work done by the whole team. The young guns Keary, Turner and Johnston came through in the second half sparking Souths to a 32-12 win over the Parramatta Eels.

Brisbane Times: Related - Chasing Nick Cave for the Archibald Prize - "...At this point, the Annandale artist had no real idea what direction the portrait might take. “Nick Cave is like a Renaissance man – he’s multi-disciplined," he says. "I read a great story about how Russell Crowe had asked him to write a sequel to Gladiator – it’s one of those scripts that will never get made. That was the thing that clicked over. I thought, ‘He’s like a modern-day Orson Welles, in that he can do anything’"
