The Vanguard April 4, 2006

I will do my best I am not very good at this type of thing.

The Vanguard as always was well organised doors opened at 7pm and we were seated for dinner. Menus were bought immediately. The meal selection had changed since my last visit.

Darren Percival was again the supporting act and was excellent. I realised after not seeing the guys for nearly 9 weeks how much I missed Darren's unique style of entertainment.

The guys came on a little earlier than usual. Yey.

The set list and not neccessarily in this order was.

1. Darby's Castle
2. Weight of A Man
2. How did we get from saying I love you to...
3. Land of the Second Chance
4. Mickey
5. Painted Veil
6. Memorial Day
7. Swept away Bayou
8. Raewyn
9. Worst in the World
10. One Good Year
11. What Do you want me to forget
12. I miss my mind
13. Testify
14. Mr Harris
15. Breathless
16. Full Length of the River
17. My hand my heart

The music was as always excellent all seemed in a good place. My first look at Chris on guitar. The crowd seemed responsive with a mixure of newbies and returning patrons (also the people who came to gawk at RC, Darren did a poll). A quick hello to the boys when the venue started closing.

For me another enjoyable show with good company.
