Charlie and Yuma 1/21/07

Well we are out of Santa Fe.The last week and a half has been very cold.
Shooting outdoors in the shadows in shirtsleeves,no gloves,no scarf.
We finish off in LA,4 nights of shooting outside,it will be cold, but not what we have been dealing with, arriving for work one day it was -17!!!. However ,because of turning the crew around out of Santa Fe  and into here we won't start shooting until Tuesday.

I enjoyed living there,we had a great house just outside of town in a place called Tesuque. Charlie and I would go down to the local market on the weekends for boys only breakfasts, sometimes in our cowboy hats. He would have koala crisps, raisins and corn thin crackers and a babycinno (just warm frothy milk with a dust of chocolate powder)  while dad experimented with the menu.

On our last visit he asked me to tell him what the name of the market was,I told him and he said "Tesuque Village market  is my favourite cafe".
I'm a lonely chap right now but I do know that the sounds of my life will fill my ears again soon,so I'm not glum, not impatient just gently determined to get home.
I was talking with Charlie the other day and he said " I love you Dad" three times, just before the end of the conversation he also said "Oh and I like you too Dad"...I just didn't know what to say...he just has the cutest voice right now, soft whispery and breathless .
Anyway,no snow out the window,we are making progress.
