How we met.

In the early 2000's, after seeing Gladiator, I started a web site for Russell Crowe. A few years later I had an eye operation to repair a detached retina. Imagine my surprise when I received an e-mail that year from Russell on the Master and Commander set sending me best wishes and hoping that I would recover quickly.

I replied, and thus began a friendship that has lasted to this day. In the course of the years we have exchanged thoughts on books, film, family matters and even pet peeves! My daughter and I, at his invitation, visited him in France during the filming of A Good Year.

I treasure being a friend of Russell. He is truly a fine, loving and generous man.
