Ok, this is sat 13TH
Check list for Welsh trip;
_ spend wkend over in west Wales-fantastic beaches, wonderful campsites and plenty of sunshine!
_ drop in on freshwater West see the evening sunset, why not?
Never seen a movie set before and set on such a beaut place, kids excited [will they get to see Robin Hood? WOW! At the seaside? Double wow!!]
_Set off across military firing range;mmmmmm ? Interesting,” gates may be closed due to firing practise? “ Is that the solders or the movie security just well tooled up?
Well kids- heads down and go for it!!
_ sunset- perfect. Filling the whole sky, you just know why this was the best spot to film. Wild surf beaches and camping out can’t get better than this.

_ Movie set; and there it is snuggled hugging the sand dunes right on the cliff edge to the beach. The little cluster of grassy huts with fire place, ropes, jugs, all ready to roll. You could have just sat down for a meal, perfect detail. Surprising how small the set was; expected something huge all closed off: the only barrier was a tape at that time.
There were carved out boats and campfire scenery; piles of logs at different stages of burnt. All beautifully crafted.
It was all certainly causing a stir on Sunday afternoon (yes ok, we had to go peek again!).The confused surf dudes trying to get to their perfect wave, the ramblers not are rambling but standing staring, quizzical faces behind huge ice cream cones and excitable polished fresh-faced young men worrying about not being called for costume fit.(Bit late if you’re filming already?)
IT was a fabulous spot, the kids thought it was KEWL; wanted to try the boats out!
we saw the best sunset,
got blown away by the detail and organisation of it all. It must take an army to get the whole thing rolling. Not a small task.
Sadly no Russell spotted; only a horse truck which gently rolled into the village on Sunday: could possibly be Rusty, the horse?
Ce la Vie and adios amigos, but most importantly “CROESO I GYMRU!”
