Crowe might be renowned for his tough roles on the big screen,
but the actor has revealed a continued interest in appearing
on Sesame Street.
"I
love the show and so do all my family," Crowe told British reporters
last week. He admitted he had offered to make an appearance on
the US children's show
"I
hope they like the offer . . . I would see that as a pinnacle
in my career," Crowe is reported to have said.
It
might be a while before Crowe co-stars with the Cookie Monster
and Oscar the Grouch. Back in March, a Sesame Street producer
went on the record as saying Crowe "may not be the best role
model for kids".
But
it seems the Oscar-winning star has been trying to win them over
ever since, because he's determined to let his kids - sons Charles
and baby Tennyson - know what he does for a job.
"My
young children will be able to see and hear what dad does for
a living," he told reporters.
If
his bid for Sesame Street fame fails, Crowe may turn to his Aussie
friends the Wiggles.
Perhaps
they can supply a red and green multi-coloured skivvy, in the
colours of his beloved South Sydney. |
