Tennyson Spencer Crowe - 7/7/2006

6/12/07 - Tennyson is walking, well mostly,7 steps is his largest journey upright so far. He has the classic baby crawl though,so much so that he looks like some perfect japanese toy as he scoots across the floor.

2/17/07 -- tennyson is up on his knee's,doing the downward dog and other yoga positions, and today he said dada

"we walk around with him at different times, he's only little and it can be very hot here.Charlie has a much more active schedule, swimming lessons,pre-school,babycinno's in the botanical gardens, lots of outings to keep him stimulated. Tenny's world expands as he needs it."

From Russell: "my brothers name is Terrence, and I always liked his initials.dani had suggested many names that didn't strike a chord with me.Tennyson had resonance, romance, and a quiet strength to it.We will call him Tenny. rc"

From Russell: "at 7.21am on the 7th of the 7th, 8 lbs, black hair, Tennyson Spencer Crowe arrived, mother and baby doing well.

The Tennyson poem that inspired Tenny's name:

"If I were loved, as I desire to be"

If I were loved, as I desire to be,
What is there in the great sphere of the earth,
And range of evil between death and birth,
That I should fear,--if I were loved by thee?
All the inner, all the outer world of pain
Clear Love would pierce and cleave, if thou wert mine
As I have heard that, somewhere in the main,
Fresh-water springs come up through bitter brine.
'T were joy, not fear, claspt hand-in-hand with thee,
To wait for death--mute--careless of all ills,
Apart upon a mountain, tho' the surge
Of some new deluge from a thousand hills
Flung leagues of roaring foam into the gorge
Below us, as far on as eye could see.

Alfred Lord Tennyson

The SMH: Crowe shares sonnet behind baby Tenny's name - Thanks, Steph
