Reports from the Hollywood Walk Of Fame Morning

From Madchen:

I compiled a list that pretty much captures my thoughts and experiences of the day.

 - I need more than 4 hours of sleep if I plan on having a day long Russell event. I ended up napping in line at Leno – yes I was that tired.

 - I have some great friends. It was great to see and re-connect with folks that I have not seen in over a year.

 - Russell Crowe has “Terry hair.” It looks very good on him.

  - Star ceremonies are one big cluster in Hollywood. I was poked and prodded by various e-bay hounds, Belgium interviewers, and papz but it was so worth it.

 - Russell Crowe’s star is SOOO well deserved.  His contribution to the world of film is so extensive that it’s unbelievable. When the announcer was naming his films it was a long list and each film he named brought a smile to my face as I remembered the first time I saw that particular movie.

 - I am so blessed that I was able to attend Russell’s Star ceremony. As a long time fan I got a bit choked up.  A long overdue to a man who has given us so much.

 - Danielle is smaller than when I saw her in person circa 2001.  Oh, and she does have nice skin. J  My description of her is “gracious.” She was exceedingly gracious to every person who stopped by to say congrats and compliment her kids and husband.   (My other thought was that if I had known she would be sitting in front of me I would have brought her cd with me.  LOL)

 - Charlie and Tenny are beautiful children.  They are not Hollywood step-ford kids as witnessed by those of us who were standing behind Dani and the kids during the ceremony – they act like normal kids who are 6 and 3.

 - Russell has many, many fans. Not just those of us who arrived at the crack of dawn to get a good spot but folks who were passing by and stopped to watch and cheer him on.   I loved seeing various Bunny hats.  J   I encountered so many folks who were just as thrilled as the rest of us to see him get this honor.

 - Just because you post with people on a message board does not mean they will be nice to you in person.   A lesson I had to re-learn.

 - Kevin Durrand is extremely tall but nice enough to apologize when he stood directly in front of me. BTW, he did tell me he would move if I attempted to take a picture of Russell.   Oh and another BTW, his girlfriend has the Chanel purse that I want. I was momentarily sidetracked by her bag.

 - Scott Grimes thinks it’s funny to be called “Sir.”  Scott was standing in front of my friend Estella and when she attempted to take a picture she said, “Excuse me sir, could you move to the right for one second?”  He thought that was funny, “Sir?? Just tap me and I will move or, just move me!”

 - Russell can wear jeans and a trench better than anyone.

 - Alan Doyle was cute with his hoodie and Chuck Taylors.

 - Russell is extremely gracious to his fans.   His stint outside of Leno was an unexpected but highly appreciated gesture of his kindness.  He even signed crap for the e-bay hounds.   I was blessed with another signature from him and a picture. I look like crap in the picture so it will not be posted. But, it was a special.  He asked for my name and I almost forgot.  That was somewhat humorous to him but I told him it had been a long day. I of course, thanked him profusely for being gracious.  That comment got me the smile.  You know the smile I’m talking about.

 - The new Leno studio seemed bigger and not as cold.  Oh and I’m thrilled that we now have restrooms.  However, they turned down the volume and it was hard to hear both Jay and Russell.  L

 - I forgot how much I like to watch Russell jam to the Tonight Show band during the commercial breaks. So cute.

 - I love to see Russell on Leno because their friendship and mutual respect is so obvious.
