Variety: Tony Gilroy - The Gotham-born writer- director also has Universal Pictures backing his next helming endeavor, "Duplicity," which he describes as a "romance set against the world of corporate espionage," starring Clive Owen and Julia Roberts. His script for it languished without a greenlight until "Clayton" became a success. And if the white-collar territory sounds familiar, Gilroy maintains, "It's very different in every way from 'Michael Clayton': the palette, the temperature, the vibe" -- more Billy Wilder than Alan Pakula. Still, he admits, "We are back in the city scouting office buildings again." - Thank, Steph

The Sun Herald: Academy Award(R) Winner Cate Blanchett Stars in the Epic Thriller 'Elizabeth: The Golden Age' on DVD and HD DVD February 5, 2008 From Universal Studios Home Entertainment - Thanks, Steph

PopMatters.com (Scroll): "Clive Owen is everybody’s go-to actor now with films like “Children of Men,” “The Bourne Identity” and “Elizabeth: the Golden Age” on his resume. But it wasn’t always thus. In fact, the first project that really set his mojo in motion was a dandy British TV series called “Chancer.” Series 1 is already out on DVD and Acorn Media releases Series 2 on Jan. 29. Owen plays a charming con man who is always just two millimeters away from the long arm of the law. The show is both sly and intriguing, a combination only the Brits seem to be able to accomplish. Owen remembers how his determination to be an actor wound him up on the bread line. “It wasn’t unusual to be unemployed in Coventry at that time,” he says. “There was a huge amount of unemployment in the U.K. generally, and I came from a town that was mostly car manufacturers, and they were all closing down and it was a very depressed time. I eventually applied to the Royal Academy (of Dramatic Arts) and amazingly got in. And I see that as almost a pivotal change - the key times in your life when you think things took a turn and that changed your life. You’re pretty trapped in a situation like that. I knew I wanted to be an actor but that’s not going to come to you in a provincial town like that.”

The Cheers News: Sienna Miller is set to play a British 60s socialite in a new movie -- The 'Factory Girl' star is on the shortlist to star as Lady Annabel Goldsmith in the film adaptation of Douglas Thompson's book, 'The Hustlers', after Ralph Fiennes' sister Martha bought the rights. A source said: "Sienna would be perfect to play Lady Annabel, who was a great beauty." The book focuses on how the late John Aspinall, a great friend of Lady Annabel, ran a gaming scam at London's Clermont Club. After the tome was published last year, Lady Annabel rubbished claims made by Aspinall's former business partner John Burke, who collaborated with Thompson on the book. Clive Owen is the favourite to play Burke in the movie
