From the article: "People keep saying that he should be the next James Bond. I hope he wouldn't do it because it would lock him into that kind of role as an actor. But I've no doubt he'll be asked. Because he has all that -- stuff, doesn't he?" - Robert Altman ******************************************* On Clive: The project closest to his heart is another Mike Hodge's movie. "I'm doing "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead," he said, the same size film as Croupier, with a modest budget, but we've got this blinding little script with very, very good people in it." The movie was slow to get financed to Owen's fury. "Believe you me, it's a tiny little budget. Mike is called an 'under-appreciated master of the medium' -- even though everybody raves about him!" In the end Owen's reputation secured the money, and filming starts in the spring. He's off now for the first long haul of a new project: Beyond Borders, a grand-scale love story between Owen, a crusading humanitarian relief worker, and Angelina Jolie, a socialite. The first few weeks will be spent in Montreal, which is standing in for the war torn Balkans. "We also go to Namibia and Thailand," he says. "My character is very political and very angry. And Angelina's very fired up by me." Aren't we all?
