From CGee: Souths Lose: It started out as an epic match between two teams at the top of their game. One injudicious penalty unbalanced the contest, and the Roosters played the advantage to win the game, 22-18. But that's not the real story of the game. The scoreboard said South Sydney was down and out, but at the end the second half they came roaring back against the odds and conventional wisdom to come within a converted try of winning. It speaks to the resilient bond these players have that they never gave up, didn't matter what the score was, they played to the bitter end. There's a lot of good to take away from this game that will stand them in good stead for the upcoming playoffs.

From Nicole: It was a hell of a night for the Bunnies who were led 8-2 at half time by Eastern Suburbs Roosters playing on their field at Allianz Stadium. Tough Roosters who dominated from the first mn, scoring a 2 points penalty then a try. And they followed on in the second half scoring 2 tries on a row and a penalty. When suddenly, when it started to rain at the 72th mn, Souths unleashed the hell scoring 3 tries. Unfortunately the last conversion was missed. Really, luck wasn't on our side tonight. Rabbitohs were defeated 22-18 by Roosters. But i think, as they won the first round vs Roosters 20-8, the Ron Coote Cup's coming back to Redfern. Lightly comforting.
